These days it's starting to get cold so you know what that means, Hot Buttered Rum with sugar cookies. But first the winterization of your boat and motors. Whether doing it yourself or calling on Hagan's Marine Service to handle the dirty work, here are a few tips to remember when prepping your boat for winter.
Don't forget your dinghy: It's easy to remember to winterize your boat's engine - forgetting could cost you. But don't forget to take the time to winterize your dinghy motor too!
Manual Bilge Pump: This one is easy to forget because it often goes unused. But it is a pump that has water in it so make sure to run some antifreeze through it.
Ice Machine and Ice Box Drains: It's easy to forget these little things - but just remember that everywhere that there's water needs to be winterized whether the boat winters on the hard or in its slip.

Frost-free water spigots are available along the B-Dock Bulkhead and F-Dock Shoreline if needed.
Winter Storage
Shipwright is now fully booked for winter storage. Winter storage is still available at Herrington Harbour North and the rates are comparable to Shipwright.
Work requests can be found online, or schedule your haul by calling the Herrington North office at (410) 867-4343.
