It's been a great first season...
Shipwright has successfully closed on its first season under new ownership and we are just scratching the surface on the grounds' transformation. You have kept the atmosphere friendly and comfortable, and we hope to keep building on that with the updates to come. We'll keep you posted on new projects, and what to look out for next season, in the meantime, let's look back on how far we've come.

The Pool
Then
The pool is one of the best assets of Shipwright but was in need of TLC and was crowded with outside members.
Now
This year, the pool added stylish and comfortable chairs, a new canvas covering, an updated fence, and beautiful landscaping - and was exclusively occupied by you!
The Main Parking Lot
Then
Last year the main lot was overflowing with boats, making it difficult to find a place to park.
Now
This summer, we managed to remove every single boat from the main lot, providing much needed space for cars.
The Office
Then
Once red, industrial, and flowerless, the office did it's job as a shop and home base for the staff.
Now
Now grey, a little more stylish, and softened up with landscaping, the office is more appealing to newcomers and slipholders alike. We've also added Hagan's Marine Services as our resident contractor to the shop.
The Entry Road
Then
Last season, and many seasons before, the road into Shipwright was a bumpy hello. Full of potholes and speedbumps, the road was in need of fresh asphalt.
Now
In early spring the road underwent a much needed repaving job. The speed bumps were removed, and the potholes filled. To top it off, this fall we added some foliage, making it a beautiful welcome to your homeport.

Dinghy Launch Area
Then
The dinghy rack was conveniently located, but impeded access to some of B-Dock's slips.
Now
With plans to re-locate the dinghy launch site somewhere else in the marina, we moved the rack and added some pavers, landscaping, and space for a soon-to-be water feature.
Shipwright Harbor Marina
Then
Shipwright has always been a well loved facility by its slipholders. It's got character, charm, and a unique personality. But it was time for some upgrades.
Now
After some long needed investment, and a whole lot of care, Shipwright is shaping up to be one of the most comfortable, beautiful, and fun marinas on Herring Bay.
