The heat and storms couldn’t stop the slipholder Independence Day pool party from happening. Thank you Linda Curtis and Kendra Smith for preparing and serving, Vic Curtis the grill master, Mark Schwenk for capturing the moments with pictures and for everyone that brought a side dish to share. We are one big happy family at Shipwright and everyone's efforts are greatly appreciated!

Free Beer Friday with John Luskey!

John Luskey is a local celebrity, born and raised in Southern Maryland. He has performed music for over 20 years all over the world, opened many shows for superstars and has won songwriting awards.

Join us at the pool from 4pm-7 pm for free beer and wine Friday with live entertainment.

Bob on the Move!

Bob is feeling a little bloated after over indulging this summer and decided to participate in the Buy Local Challenge. Pledging to eat at least one thing from a Maryland Farm everyday from now until Labor Day. The local challenge week is July 21st-29th, but Bob is an overachiever and setting the bar high.

Bob has decided to stay at Shipwright until Thursday to stock up on local produce and meats at the SoCo Farmers' Market. The farmers market is located at the Deale Library every Thursday from 3 pm - 6 pm.

If you decide to join Bob on the Buy Local Challenge, visit the Buy Local Challenge website to take the pledge, be counted and entered to win a Buy Local T-Shirt. Be sure to show off your Buy Local photos with the hashtag #BuyLocalChallenge.

This is a very exciting year at Shipwright! We are very proud to announce that we currently have about 50 new slipholders for 2019 and our family is going to continue to grow. We warmly welcome all the new sipholders this year.

If you are a new slipholder and want to get more involved with slipholder events, let us know and will add you to the planning committee.

The Hill family has been part of the Shipwright family since 2013 and recently moved to Newport, RI. Dorothy took this beautiful sunset picture at Newport Harbor. We will truly miss your family and hope you come back soon to visit.
